Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how ClockOff ("the app", "we") handles your information. ClockOff is a macOS menu-bar application that tracks unpaid overtime and worked-through lunches to help you understand the real cost of overwork.
1. Data stored locally only
All data you enter or that ClockOff generates — including your salary or hourly rate, work schedule, hours worked, lunch breaks, overtime, and the resulting statistics — is stored locally on your Mac only. This information stays on your device under your control. We never receive it, see it, or store it anywhere else.
2. No network connections
ClockOff makes no network connections. The app does not send your data anywhere, does not phone home, and does not require an internet connection to function. There is no server component and there is no account to create.
3. No personal data collection
We collect no personal data whatsoever. ClockOff does not ask for your name, email address, or any identifying information to operate. Because nothing is transmitted off your device, there is nothing for us to collect, profile, or sell.
4. No analytics, ads, or third-party SDKs
ClockOff contains no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs. There are no trackers, no crash-reporting services that transmit data, and no marketing tools embedded in the app. Your usage of the app is not measured or reported to anyone.
5. Your salary, hours, and stats never leave the device
To be explicit: the financial figures and time data that power ClockOff's "money lost" calculations — your salary or rate, hours, lunches, overtime, and the daily and monthly statistics derived from them — never leave your Mac. They exist only in ClockOff's local storage on your computer.
6. Data deletion
Because all data is local, you remain in full control. Removing ClockOff and its local data from your Mac permanently deletes everything the app has stored. We hold no copies.
7. Children's privacy
ClockOff is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, including children.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
